Theft
An officer with the BYU Police Department received a report of a stolen electric bike from Wymount Terrace. The stolen bike is a Wallke Model 3X, which has a gray frame with red lettering and fat tires, valued at approximately $1500. The owner reported parking the bike around 5:00 PM the previous evening and discovered it was missing at approximately 9:30 AM the following day. Surveillance footage is currently under review, and pictures of the bike have been attached to the case file for further investigation.

Sick Person
An officer, along with BYU EMS, responded to a report of a sick individual at the Tanner Building. A 16-year-old participant in a BYU youth group activity began experiencing flu-like symptoms. BYU EMS assessed the individual’s condition on scene, and the complainant contacted the participant’s parent for further assistance.

Disturbance
The BYU Police Department was contacted by maintenance workers at the Riviera Apartment complex regarding students jumping off the roof of the clubhouse into the swimming pool. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with a housing representative who explained that the students had accessed the roof via an open roof hatch. The representative stated that he had addressed the issue with the students and informed them that they were not to continue the activity.

Possible Stolen License Plate
A report was received regarding a License Plate Reader (LPR) hit on a stolen license plate. Before the officer could locate the vehicle, Dispatch informed the officer that the plate owner had been contacted and confirmed the plate was no longer stolen. As a result, the police discontinued their response.

Citizen Contact
Officers responded to a reckless driver near Lot 41 and located the vehicle and driver, who was identified as an FSY staff member. The staff member was assisting a suicidal student and had responded swiftly to ensure the juvenile’s safety. After confirming the student was safe, a legal guardian requested that the juvenile remain in the care of FSY staff. The student was picked up by the guardian and taken off campus.

Agency Assist
A report was received of a suicidal male from Provo, who had run away from his family and was possibly around the MPS. Responding officers coordinated with Provo Police, who confirmed the individual was on foot, heading across a golf course toward the clubhouse. Law enforcement searched the surrounding roadways, paths, and woods within the MPS to locate the subject. Shortly afterward, Provo Police successfully located the individual near the golf course clubhouse in Provo.
