Abandoned 911 An officer responded to the CSC area after an abandoned 911 call. Dispatch attempted to contact the caller with no response. The officer checked the area indicated by the phone’s ping and found no issues. A large group of FSY youth was nearby, but no problems were reported.
Abandoned 911 Provo Police received a 911 hang‑up near the HBLL and forwarded it to BYU dispatch. Officers were dispatched, but dispatch later contacted the caller, who confirmed they were safe. The call was canceled.
Welfare Check Officers received a report of a 20‑year‑old male at the WSC who appeared distressed and possibly lost. He was last seen walking toward the bowling alley. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate him.
Seizure An adult FSY employee with a history of seizures experienced one. Provo medics treated him and monitored him in the ambulance to determine whether hospital transport was needed.
Civil Problem An officer spoke by phone with an individual regarding a motor scooter that had not moved for two years and had expired registration. The RP obtained a new title through the DMV. The previous owner now wants the scooter back and may attempt to file a stolen‑vehicle report. The officer answered the RP’s questions and helped them understand how to move forward with the issue.
Fire Alarm Officers and Provo Fire responded to several beam alarms at the RB. No smoke or fire was found. An alarm technician reported ongoing system issues and responded to investigate.
Carbon Monoxide Alarm Officers and Fire responded to a CO alarm at a residence. Housing maintenance was already on scene and reported a reading of 34 ppm caused by a stove left on. The occupants were away visiting family. The apartment was aired out. Fire personnel noted cleanliness concerns related to children, which were documented.
Accident An officer responded to a minor accident in a parking lot where a fire truck struck a parked vehicle while turning. A report was taken, and information was exchanged.
