Animal Problem A BYU officer responded to the southwest bike rack at the Harold B. Lee Library following a report of small kittens possibly living in a nearby storm drain. The officer inspected the storm drainpipe and searched the surrounding area but was unable to locate any kittens.
Medical Officers responded to the Marriott Center regarding a juvenile participant attending FSY who had passed out while waiting in the check-in line. BYU EMS and Provo EMS evaluated the juvenile on scene. After assessment, the individual was released to their parents and was not transported for further medical treatment.
Accident Officers responded to a medical assist at the Marriott Center. While on scene, Vehicle #1 backed out of a parking stall and collided with Vehicle #2, a BYU Police vehicle. Provo Police responded and completed the accident report. No injuries were reported, and both vehicles sustained minor damage.
Accident An officer responded to the CONE regarding a non-reportable traffic accident involving two vehicles. The officer documented the incident and provided both parties with driver exchange information.
Domestic Violence Officers responded to Wymount Terrace for a delayed domestic violence incident reported to have occurred earlier. The victim stated that during a verbal altercation, his wife struck and bit him, resulting in visible scratches and bite marks. Officers contacted the suspect, who admitted to hitting and biting the victim. The suspect was arrested and booked into the Utah County Jail on two counts of domestic violence-related assault. The case will be referred to the Provo City Attorney's Office for review of charges.
Theft The complainant reported that her electric scooter was missing after she parked it near the Harold B. Lee Library while attending class. Officers reviewed surveillance footage and identified a female who removed the scooter and rode it around campus for several hours before returning it to the same bike rack. The scooter was subsequently located, confirmed to belong to the complainant, and released back to her.
