Door Alarm Officers responded to a violated door alarm at the SAB. An exterior door was found propped open upon officer arrival. The door and surrounding area were checked, and nothing suspicious was found. Security Dispatch was notified and will have a technician inspect the alarm.
Fire Alarm Officers responded to a fire alarm at Wyview Park. Residents were outside while the alarm was investigated. Fire technicians determined a faulty bedroom alarm was activating without smoke or fire. The alarm was canceled for the night and scheduled for repair in the morning.
Lockout An officer responded to the Harold B. Lee Library to assist a security guard who had locked his access keys inside the security office.
Duress Alarm A silent duress alarm activated in BRMB room 267. Officers found no one in the room or nearby. The alarm button did not appear to have been pressed, but it was reset. Security confirmed the alarm was no longer active.
Duress Alarm Officers responded to a duress alarm at the Creamery on 900 East. An employee had accidentally activated the alarm. The officer reset it, as no emergency was present.
Theft Officers contacted a complainant regarding a missing laundry basket left in a basement laundry room. When the complainant returned about 90 minutes later, the basket was gone. There is no suspect information at this time.
Sick Person Officers responded to Helaman Halls Building 9 for a medical issue. The patient reported tingling lips and dizziness. Provo Fire assessed him and found no abnormalities. The patient refused transport and was released.
Duress Alarm An officer responded to a duress alarm at the Dean of Students conference room. The silent alarm had not been activated, and the panic button was not pressed. Security Dispatch and IT were notified to investigate a possible Genetic system issue.
Fire Alarm An officer responded to an audible fire alarm at West Campus. No fire, smoke, or issues were found. The alarm was cleared and will be evaluated during the day to determine if replacement is needed.
