Welfare Check
Officer responded to Stover Hall to assist an adult male who was staying on campus for Education Week and was unable to make contact with his mother. He had been trying to contact her for several hours with no response. Mom was found.
Public Peace
While patrolling the Y-trailhead, dispatch advised a complainant near Wasatch Elementary reported loud music coming from the trailhead. No one was playing music loud enough to be heard a half mile away.

Suspicious
A resident observed an adult male walking around multiple bike racks acting suspicious. Officers responded and found the suspect matching the description in the area. Officers made contact with the suspect and he was identified. He did not have any personal identification, but gave his accurate DOB and name. A review of Wyview cameras showed the suspect walking around bike racks looking at bikes.
Medical
BYU EMS and officers were dispatched to the WSC. Dispatch advised there was an adult female, double amputee, who had slid off her wheelchair and was on the floor of the women's restroom. BYU EMS and officers arrived on scene and found the patient was not injured; she just needed assistance getting back up on her wheelchair.
Keep the Peace
A Keep the Peace was requested while the complainant removed personal belongings from an apartment her and her fiancé had planned on living in. The fiancé was not present, but the complainant was concerned for her safety if he returned while she was at the apartment. An officer stood by while the complainant and family/friends removed her belongings and left.
Medical
Complainant reported her 13-year-old daughter had a headache and was not feeling well. Campus EMS responded on scene to assess the child and provide further direction. The child was treated and released into the custody of her mother.
Accident – Hit and Run
An unknown suspect vehicle between 0900 and 1230 hours on this date hit the reporting party’s vehicle. An officer met with the complainant to gather information and file a report.
Medical
A 72-year-old female lost her footing as she was walking down the stairs in the Marriott Center. She fell forward and slid down 10-12 stairs sustaining minor injuries to her forehead and left side. BYU EMS responded to the scene, treated and released the patient.
Suspicious
An individual was taking photos of the MTC at various locations outside the perimeter fencing. Photos of the individual and the individual’s vehicle description was shared with the Investigations Division. The Investigations Division is following up on this incident.
Accident
A delivery truck was driving past the MTC guard shack when it brushed against the rain gutter on the building and caused damage to the side of truck and the rain gutter. Report filed.
Medical
BYU Police, EMS and Provo Fire responded to a medical at the Marriott Center during the Tuesday devotional. The patient was hit by a wheelchair and fell down hitting her face on the ground. Patient was evaluated by Provo Fire and BYU EMS and was released.

Dispatch advised a female had injured her foot due to the door closing on it. BYU EMS arrived on scene and began to treat the patient. The patient was checked and released by BYU EMS.

Dispatch advised a female was not feeling well. BYU EMS treated the patient. Officers assisted with getting their vehicle closer so the patient did not need to walk far. The patient was released a short time later.

Officers were advised the patient was sitting down and felt faint. He then laid down had begun to shake (possible seizure). The patient’s mother was there as well. A short time later, BYU EMS arrived and treated the patient. The patient was released to his mother’s care.
Medical
Officers were dispatched to medical call. While there, this unrelated medical incident happened and the patient requested to be checked by Provo Fire and Rescue Paramedics on scene. Officers spoke with the patient who advised he closed his finger in the car door. This caused pain and his fingernail to be almost ripped off. The patient was checked by paramedics. He was released a short time later.

Provo City dispatch received a report of a male adult that had suffered a fall at the Marriott Center. As Provo FD responded, an officer from BYU was also dispatched to the incident. The male patient was assessed by Provo FD. The male refused the offer to be transported to the hospital for further evaluation. The patient was released at the scene. The cause of the fall could not determined. Later, during the devotional, the patient requested to be transported to the hospital by Provo Fire and Rescue as he was not feeling better.
