Accident
An officer met with a motorist who reported a minor parking lot collision. The driver stated that while attempting to park in a narrow stall in Lot 49, his vehicle's bumper accidentally scratched a nearby parked vehicle. The parties involved exchanged contact and insurance information at the scene. The owner of the damaged vehicle declined compensation for the minor scratch, stating that the vehicle was older and the damage was not a concern.

Duress Alarm
BYU Police responded to the Wilkinson Student Center to reset a duress alarm. An employee accidentally activated the alarm by pressing the button attached to her desk and immediately contacted dispatch to report the activation was unintentional. The employee advised there were no issues or emergencies requiring assistance. An officer responded to the location, confirmed the alarm was accidental, and reset the system.

Medical
Officers responded to a medical call involving a female experiencing chest pains. Upon arrival, officers assisted emergency medical personnel with scene management while the patient was evaluated and prepared for transport. The female was transported by medical personnel to Utah Valley Hospital for further evaluation and treatment.

Medical
Officers and Provo Fire responded to a medical incident involving an individual who became ill while driving on Canyon Road. The driver pulled into a BYU parking lot, where emergency responders located and assessed them. Medical personnel evaluated the individual and transported them to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center for further treatment and evaluation. The vehicle was left parked in the lot, and dispatch was advised that it would remain there until the owner could arrange for someone to retrieve or move it.

Hit and Run
An officer contacted the complainant regarding a hit-and-run collision involving a parked, unoccupied vehicle. The complainant reported that a witness observed Vehicle 1 back into Vehicle 2 and then left the scene without providing any identifying or insurance information. The witness provided video footage showing Vehicle 1 leaving the area after the collision. The officer obtained and attached photographs documenting the damage to Vehicle 2. At the time of the report, neither Vehicle 1 nor the driver had been identified. The investigation remains ongoing pending identification of the vehicle involved and suspect.

Missing Person
An officer returned a call from a complainant who reported becoming separated from her father during a large event on the BYU campus. The complainant explained that her father had recently been diagnosed with dementia and might be unable to find his way back to their apartment. After gathering pertinent information and beginning a search of the area, the officer was notified by the complainant that she had located her father near a nearby apartment building.
