Door Alarm Two beam alarms were activated in the tunnels near the ESC. Before officers arrived, work crews in the area reported they had triggered the alarms while working. No issues were found.
Duress Alarm Officers responded to a duress alarm at Enrollment Services in the WSC. Multiple duress buttons were checked, but none had been activated. Dispatch was notified, and arrangements are being made to have the system inspected.
Suspicious Officers responded to a report of skateboarders doing tricks on the railing between the WSC and HBLL. The individuals were contacted, informed of campus rules regarding skateboarding and video recording, apologized, and left campus willingly.
Welfare Check Officers conducted a welfare check on a student who had not been seen recently. They responded to the student’s apartment, knocked several times, and received no answer. The reporting party was notified.
Sick Person A female student/employee at the Risk Management Building experienced a severe headache and felt faint. BYU EMS and Provo EMS treated her and evaluated her for low blood sugar.
Accident A collision occurred on West Campus Drive near the parking booth when a vehicle made an unsafe left turn in front of a northbound vehicle. Both vehicles collided and required towing. An accident report was filed.
Medical A student became lightheaded and passed out after being assisted into the Office of Belonging at the WSC. Employees called 911, and BYU EMS and Provo Medical treated the patient.
Medical Officers and EMS responded to an individual with back pain at the WSC. The patient had injured his back earlier while playing volleyball. Provo Fire and BYU EMS evaluated him and assisted him in getting to his roommate’s vehicle.
