Alarm An officer responded to a door-left-open alarm. Dispatch advised that employees had been working earlier but had apparently left the door open when they departed. Dispatch further advised that Hood Washers was scheduled to be on site cleaning the kitchen hoods and had previously notified dispatch of their presence. Upon contact, Hood Washers personnel stated they had approximately 10 to 15 minutes of work remaining and would secure and lock the building upon completion. No suspicious circumstances were observed.
Robbery Alarm Robbery alarm was set off at the Bean Museum. An employee admitted to bumping the alarm button and there was no emergency. The alarm was reset.
Medical An officer responded to a medical call at the JKB Police Station lobby. Upon arrival, the officer did not locate anyone requesting medical assistance. Dispatch later determined that the caller was actually at the Lindon City Police Station and not at BYU.
Lost Property Officers returned a phone call from a complainant who believed her phone had been stolen after receiving GPS location data indicating the device was moving. The complainant reported she had last used the phone in a common outdoor area near a water feature on the patio of the Joseph Fielding Smith Building. Officers responded to the area, located the phone, and returned it to the complainant. No theft was found to have occurred
Medical Officers were dispatched to assist medical personnel with a female who was feeling faint. Upon evaluation, medical personnel determined the patient was also experiencing a rapid heart rate. Due to the patient's condition, medics recommended transport by ambulance for further evaluation and treatment. The patient agreed and was transported to Utah Valley Hospital.
Welfare Check An officer was dispatched to conduct a welfare check after a BYU student initiated a Safewalk through the BYU app. Dispatch lost contact with the student when her cell phone battery died. Officers responded to check on her welfare and were able to successfully contact her by phone. Dispatch was notified, and the Safewalk was closed
