Carbon Monoxide Alarm An officer responded to a carbon monoxide alarm at Wymount Terrace Building 17A. The Provo Fire Department checked the apartment and did not detect any carbon monoxide (CO). Fire personnel determined the carbon monoxide alarm was more than 11 years old and well past its expiration date. A housing maintenance employee responded to the scene and installed a new carbon monoxide alarm.
Suspicious Circumstance An officer responded to a suspicious circumstance report at Wyview Park. A tenant reported that he found his electric scooter lying in the grassy area near the stairs to his apartment after leaving it locked there overnight. It appeared that someone had cut the lock and attempted to steal the scooter but was unable to start it, leaving it behind. The scooter was not damaged. The tenant wanted the incident documented due to other reported thefts in the area. The officer is reviewing security camera footage for additional information.
Medical An officer responded to the MTC to assist Provo EMS with a male who was experiencing a seizure. Provo EMS assessed the individual, who was visiting the MTC with an out-of-state young men's group, and transported him to Utah Valley Hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
Accident An officer responded to a two-vehicle accident in the Lot 52 overflow parking area for Heritage. No injuries were reported. The officer facilitated an exchange of information between the drivers and identified the drivers involved and vehicles. Minor superficial damage was observed to the vehicles. Photographs were taken and attached to the incident report.
Suspicious Person An officer responded to a report of a suspicious male wearing a black hoodie and either a white face covering or white face paint. The individual was last seen walking north on East Campus Drive toward the Wilkinson Student Center. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the subject, and no further suspicious activity was observed.
Accident An officer responded to a parking lot accident involving two vehicles. A vehicle was backing into a parking stall and struck the driver-side door of another car. No damage was reported and there were no injuries. The involved parties exchanged information at the scene.
Medical Assist An officer responded to the Heritage volleyball courts on BYU campus to assist with a medical call. Upon arrival, medical personnel determined the male patient had a history of knee dislocations and had already repositioned the knee himself. The patient declined further medical treatment and contacted his father, who responded to the scene and assisted him.
