Medical An officer responded to the BYU Art Building to assist medical personnel with a report of a sick individual. The officer and medical staff located the patient on the second level of the building. Medical personnel evaluated the patient and, after determining no further care was needed, released the patient without additional treatment.
Medical An officer responded to assist a female student who was feeling nauseous and believed she might pass out. The student reported being ill the previous day and stated that after a long walk to class, she became exhausted and began experiencing severe stomach pain. BYU EMS evaluated the student and assisted her in arranging transportation back to her apartment, where she could rest and recover.
Parking Problem An officer responded to a report of a vehicle stolen on campus. The vehicle owner reported that they had not seen the vehicle since the spring semester. The officer-initiated efforts to locate the vehicle, and the case remains under investigation.
Medical An officer responded to the Wilkinson Student Center food court to assist medical personnel with a report of a sick individual. BYU EMS arrived and evaluated the patient. After completing their assessment, medical personnel released the patient, who was transported home by a friend.
Fall An officer responded to a medical call in Lot 49 involving an elderly male who had struck a dip while operating his mobility scooter. The man sustained minor injuries and requested medical attention. Medical personnel responded to evaluate and assist the patient.
Suspicious Person An officer conducted a stop for a rideable violation and requested identification from the rider. The individual provided a photo of a BYU student ID card on his phone. Further investigation revealed that the ID card belonged to another person and that the subject had altered the image by replacing the original photo with his own. A report was taken and the incident is under investigation.
Citizen Contact An officer responded to a report involving two young girls, ages 6 and 7, who had been dropped off by a school bus at the Wyview Park Apartments bus stop. The girls were supposed to be picked up by a family member, but no one arrived. Multiple attempts were made to contact family members, and arrangements were eventually made for relatives to respond and pick up the children. The girls remained safe until they were reunited with their family.
Found Property Found backpack that had been sitting under a bench for 3 days. The complainant called police because the backpack contained a laptop computer. There was also an ID and the owner’s name was on several items and books. The owner was contacted by the officer and the owner’s brother stopped by to pick up the property.
