Door alarm Officers responded to the JRCB for a door alarm. Students studying late had left a stairway door open when leaving. The door was secured.
Door Alarm Officers responded to the ESC for a door alarm. The alarmed door was in a secured, restricted‑access area marked with warnings. Officers found nothing suspicious and notified the professor over the lab.
Traffic Stop Officers located a running vehicle with its windows down in a service lot. While checking registration information, officers learned the owner had never obtained a driver’s license and had been previously cited. A male then entered the vehicle and attempted to drive away. Officers stopped the vehicle, cited the driver for never obtaining a license, and impounded the vehicle as required by state law.
Trauma Officers and EMS responded to the Cannon Center for an adult male who struck his finger with a cymbal. EMS and Provo Fire evaluated him and determined he needed no further medical care.
Trauma Officers and BYU EMS responded to the RB for a student with an ankle injury sustained during intramurals. EMS treated the student, who was released at the scene.
Traffic Offense Officers responded to the Music Building parking lot after three trucks were reported driving excessively fast. Officers arrived shortly after dispatch but could not locate the vehicles.
Unsecure Premises While patrolling LaVell Edwards Stadium, an officer found Gate 5 completely open. Security dispatch confirmed the stadium should have been closed, but a malfunction prevented the gate from securing. An electrical shop employee responded and closed and secured the gate.
