Medical
Officers responded to a medical emergency at Wymount involving a 23-year-old male with a history of diabetes. The individual was found standing but unresponsive. Provo Medics arrived on scene, administered medical treatment, and, out of an abundance of caution, transported him to the UVH Emergency Room for further evaluation until his condition stabilized.

Welfare Check
A concerned individual contacted police to report that their online friend, a non-student, had made suicidal statements and was headed to the Y Mountain trail to potentially harm themselves. BYU officers responded to the Y Trailhead but did not locate the individual. The caller later informed police that the subject had decided not to go to the trail and would remain at home. However, the caller was unable to provide the police with the subject’s physical address or additional contact information beyond their social media account, preventing officers from locating or identifying the individual.

Medical
A female patient sustained a possible injury to her knee after twisting an appendage during indoor practice on the field. BYU EMS, Provo EMS, and BYU police responded to the scene. The patient was provided with an ice wrap and bandage on her knee and was preparing to be transported to the hospital for further evaluation by a family member in a personal vehicle. Although she appeared to be in good overall condition, she reported ongoing knee pain.

Medical
BYU Police responded to an athletic field on campus following a report that a soccer player had lost consciousness after a fall during play. The player regained consciousness at the scene, waived initial medical attention, but was able to respond appropriately to questions. The player consented to seek further medical evaluation.

DUI
A BYU Police Officer observed a truck driving on the wrong side of the roadway, nearly causing a head-on collision with an innocent motorist. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle as it ran two red lights and traveled at twice the speed limit. The vehicle eventually pulled over, and the officer discovered the driver was under the influence. The driver was arrested, booked into Utah County Jail, and refused to comply with a signed search warrant for chemical testing, leading to formal charges. A passenger in the vehicle received a criminal citation, and the vehicle was impounded.

Suspicious
A complainant reported that a green pepper was thrown at her vehicle as she was exiting the Heritage parking lot to head northbound on 900 E. The suspect was in a vehicle, but the complainant did not see which vehicle it was or identify the suspect. Her vehicle sustained no damage, and no additional suspect information is available at this time.
