Disorderly The complainant reported that a group of boys exhibited disrespectful behavior towards the Resident Assistant at Stover Hall after being asked to leave the girls' dorm. Additionally, the group was found in possession of a broken pool cue, which was confirmed to be intact prior to their presence. Video footage is currently under review to identify the individual responsible for damaging the property.
Suspicious A complainant requested an extra patrol after a group of boys were knocking on her window at Taylor Hall, causing disturbance. Law enforcement checked the area but did not locate anyone matching the description. Dispatch reported seeing on camera a group of boys walking eastbound from the area; however, their involvement was uncertain. The boys were not found during the patrol, and no additional reports were received.
Information A police officer responded to a report of a possible hit-and-run incident in Lot 32. Upon reviewing security camera footage, the officer observed that no collision or incident had occurred while the vehicle was parked there, indicating that the damage was likely caused earlier and elsewhere.
Sick Person BYU EMS responded to a medical call at the Harold B. Lee Library. Prior to the officer's arrival, BYU EMS determined that police assistance was not required.
Medical An officer and BYU EMS responded to the Life Science Building on a report of a medical call. BYU EMS treated and released the patient at the scene without incident.
Traffic Offense A graduate student was nearly hit in the crosswalk at 150 East, near the SFH, Lot 38. The student had to jump out of the way to avoid being struck, but the car did not stop. The officer reviewed the incident on camera and is working to determine the vehicle's owner.
Panic Alarm Officers were dispatched to the ASB on a duress alarm in the basement, D-70. The building is vacant, so it is unknown how the panic/duress alarm was activated. Officers responded to the area and found the room vacant; it is possible that workers moving desks out of the room may have triggered the alarm. The officers noted no problems and also conducted a brief foot patrol of the area.
