Lockout
An officer assisted a BYU paint‑shop employee who needed access to a roof hatch. The employee’s full‑time status and authorization were verified. The officer opened the door and later returned to ensure it was secured.

Sick Person
Officers and BYU EMS responded to the Talmage Building for a sick male sitting on the grass. BYU EMS evaluated him and determined law enforcement assistance was not needed.

Disorderly
Officers responded to the CSC for a disorderly individual who had been terminated from employment and was menacing a dining‑services employee. Officers separated the parties, cited the suspect for disorderly conduct, stood by while he collected his belongings, issued a 10‑day trespass, and escorted him off campus.

Lost Property
An officer took a delayed lost‑property report by phone. The complainant lost his wallet card containing his ID and driver's license sometime during the day.

Information
Two students received a text message warning their vehicles in Lot 45 would be towed if not moved by 8:00 p.m. They suspected a scam and contacted police. BYU Police spoke with BYU Security employees and confirmed the message was legitimate. Officers relayed this information to the students and dispatchers in case additional students had concerns.

Accident – Hit & Run
A complainant reported scratches along the driver’s side of their vehicle, believed to have occurred while parked on BYU campus. Camera footage did not capture the incident. Officers provided a case number for insurance purposes. No suspect information is available.

Missing Person
Officers responded to the Wilkinson Student Center after a 38‑year‑old male with special needs was reported missing for about an hour. Officers located him safely in another room and reunited him with his group.

Traffic Offense
Officers responded to Lot 45 for a complaint of a jeep driving in circles with two people hanging off the sides. The vehicle left before officers arrived but was located on Cougar Blvd. Officers initiated a traffic stop after the driver made an improper lane change. The driver explained he was teaching a friend to drive a manual vehicle. Officers addressed both the unsafe driving and the complaint. The group was warned and released.

Door Alarm
Officers responded to a door alarm at the HGB. Multiple employees were closing up for the night, and nothing suspicious or criminal was occurring.

Door Alarm
Officers responded to a door alarm at the Physical Facilities building. A BYU employee had triggered the alarm by leaving a roll‑up door open too long. The door was closed, clearing the alarm. Nothing suspicious was found.
