Suspicious BYU Police responded to a report of a suspicious container chained to a stop sign near Lot 34. Upon arrival, an officer discovered the container was being used as a makeshift market, featuring a cooler with drinks and a QR code for Venmo payments. The officer notified BYU Security and advised them to address the situation during their next shift in accordance with campus policies.

Welfare Check A BYU student initiated a safewalk through the BYU app online but failed to indicate that she had arrived safely. Somehow, the app disconnected from the student, prompting BYU dispatch to initiate a welfare check. The officer located her safe in her apartment at Heritage 11. The student had pressed the "Arrived at Destination" button; however, the safewalk app disconnected on her, and she did not see the follow-up text messages or calls from dispatch.
Welfare Check An officer was dispatched to check on a BYU student who had initiated a safewalk but failed to notify dispatch upon arrival, and she hadn't provided an apartment number at the apartment complex. Using the safewalk app's GPS tracking, the officer found that she had arrived at the University Studio Apartments, matching her reported residence. Although she had not activated the "arrived safe" button, the GPS confirmation reassured the officer of her safety. Attempts to contact her via phone and messages to emergency contacts were unsuccessful, and multiple door knocks at the apartments yielded no success.
