Trauma
Officers responded to Chipman Hall for an 18‑year‑old female student who had dislocated her left shoulder. The student reported similar injuries in the past but could not relocate the shoulder this time. Provo Fire evaluated her and transported her to Utah Valley Hospital for treatment. The resident assistant notified her parents, and roommates accompanied her to the hospital.

Theft
An officer contacted a complainant regarding a delayed theft of a wallet from the North University Fields. The wallet, which contained a student ID, driver’s license, and bank cards, was reported stolen between 2100 and 2230 hours on 09/30/2026. Officers advised the complainant to freeze and report the cards as stolen and to notify police of any attempted use.

Trauma
Officers responded to Lot 27 near Heritage 9 after a bicycle and skateboard collision. Both individuals were traveling southbound when the bicyclist collided with the skateboarder from behind. The bicyclist suffered a fractured arm and was transported by ambulance to UVRMC. The skateboarder sustained abrasions, and BYU EMS treated and released them.

Hazardous Conditions
Grounds employees located several hypodermic needles in an area near the Heritage buildings. Risk Management had already collected the needles before officers arrived. No obvious signs of drug use were observed. Officers took photographs of the needles before removal and added them to their report.

Welfare Check
Officers conducted a welfare check on a BYU student after receiving a report of concern. Officers contacted the student, who denied being a danger to themselves or others. This was the second welfare‑check request involving the student that week.

Theft
An officer met with a complainant regarding the theft of bicycle pedals and grips from a bicycle secured with a U‑lock at Chipman Hall. The theft occurred between 09/24/2026 and 10/01/2026. Officers found no other damage, and there are no known suspects.

Trauma
Officers responded to the Wilkinson Student Center for a BYU employee who injured a finger in a workplace accident. BYU EMS and Provo Fire treated the employee, who was then taken to the Student Health Center for further evaluation.

Recovered Property
Officers responded to an LPR alert for a stolen license plate entering campus. Investigation determined the plate had been mistakenly entered into the database as stolen. Officers advised the registered owner to contact Provo Police to correct the error.

Trauma
A student injured a shoulder while playing flag football. BYU EMS evaluated the student, who declined further treatment.

Trauma
Officers and BYU EMS responded to a traumatic injury near the tennis courts. The patient crashed while riding a longboard and landed on one shoulder, suffering road rash and a minor laceration. The patient declined hospital transport but received wound care from EMS.

Accident
A BYU Catering box truck struck and knocked over a lamp post. A third party reported the incident. Officers have not yet identified or contacted the driver.

Lockout
Officers responded to the Maeser Building to assist a student who had left a backpack in a classroom. Officers escorted the student while they retrieved their belongings.
