CO – Alarm
BYU Police and Provo Fire were dispatched to a carbon monoxide (CO) alarm in Wyview Park. Provo Fire tested the air and initially detected a CO level of 37 parts per million. After opening the windows and ventilating the apartment, the CO reading dropped to zero. As a precaution, the Fire Department requested a response from the gas company, and BYU Facilities personnel responded to help identify the source of the gas.

Nuisance
Officers responded to a report of a possible car alarm sounding near the Westview Building. Upon arrival, no audible alarms were detected in the area. At approximately the same time as this call, alarm testing was being conducted in the JFSB, and it is possible that the reported alarm was associated with that testing.

Currently, there is no suspect vehicle or driver information available. The incident is under investigation, and a report has been completed.

Lost Property
An officer was dispatched to make phone contact with a complainant who wanted to report a lost passport. The officer contacted the complainant, who reported that they had located the passport and that no further action was necessary.

Medical
An officer responded to a medical call at the JSFB involving a student who reported experiencing an allergic reaction after eating food. BYU EMS and Provo EMS responded to the scene, evaluated the student, and provided treatment. After assessment, the student was released at the scene and did not require further medical attention.
