Trauma Officers encountered an individual with an ankle injury while returning from a football game to the police station. Fire and emergency medical personnel responded to evaluate the individual, and a friend later transported them home.
Lockout An officer responded to Helaman Fields to assist an individual whose vehicle was locked inside a secured area. The officer unlocked the gate, allowing the vehicle to exit. The officer then resecured the gate and cleared the call.
Information Officers received a report regarding a scam phone call. The reporting party stated that an unknown caller claimed to be a police officer and falsely reported that the reporting party's child had been involved in a traffic accident and was in legal trouble. The reporting party recognized the situation as a scam and ended the phone call. During the conversation with officers, another individual reported receiving a similar call from the same phone number. The reporting party advised that similar scam calls targeting BYU student-athletes had recently been reported and that they planned to notify others in their group.
Unsecure Premises Security personnel discovered an unlocked tunnel access door while conducting a building security check. Officers checked the tunnel and found no unauthorized individuals. Officers secured the door before clearing the call.
Found Property A credit card was turned in to the Police Department. Attempts to contact the owner were unsuccessful. Officers turned the card over to the Wilkinson Student Center lost and found.
Suspicious Officers responded to the area of Stover Hall for a report of the odor of marijuana. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the odor or anyone appearing to be using marijuana.
