Suspicious
A police officer responded by phone to a delayed report of a suspicious incident that occurred the previous day at the MLBM. The officer contacted all parties involved and learned that the suspicious person had been recently released from an inpatient facility. It was recommended that the individual attempt a "Solo Excursion." After reviewing video footage, the officer did not observe any criminal activity. However, the officer also spoke with the caretaker, who stated that this wouldn’t happen again without more supervision and care.

Accident
BYU Police responded to Lot 20 where an auto vs bicyclist accident had occurred. Officers met with both the driver and the bicyclist, both of whom denied needing medical attention or transport to a hospital. The bicyclist was issued a warning citation for failing to follow appropriate bicycle laws. Both parties were provided with exchange information.

Family Offense
An officer responded to a call regarding family problems from a complainant. The officer and victims advocate spoke with the complainant, who was given a lethality assessment. At that time, the complainant decided not to pursue charges and inquired about protective order options. The victims advocate provided resource information and statement forms. The complainant was exiting the area for the night to go to a safe location and is scheduled to meet with the victims advocate the following day.

Medical
A student was involved in a skateboard accident while riding down the west side walkway ramp from the Marriott Center. He sustained an injury to his left knee that left him unable to walk. The student was examined by BYU EMS and Provo Paramedics and was released at the scene. He requested transportation to the Student Health Center for further evaluation and treatment.

Trespassing
The BYU Police Department responded to a report of trespassing at Haws Field, where a group of young people were playing soccer. Officers arrived, spoke with the complainant, and then approached the individuals on the field. After their interaction, the group left voluntarily without incident.

Suspicious
BYU officers responded to a complaint regarding a suspicious individual near the bike racks by buildings 9 and 10 at lot 52. Upon arrival, officers conducted an extra patrol but did not locate the person in question. The officers continued their patrols in the area throughout the night shift to ensure safety and security.

Medical
A BYU police officer and BYU EMS responded to an injury incident at North University Field, where flag football was in progress. A participant sustained an eye injury during the game and received on-site treatment from BYU EMS. The individual was then released into the care of a friend to seek further medical attention at the ER. No further action was taken.
