Extortion
A police officer was dispatched to the Missionary Training Center on a report of extortion. The officer met with the complainant, provided a case number for the incident, and cleared. This case will be referred to the investigations division for follow-up.

Agency Assist
A BYU police officer responded to a request from a nearby police agency to handle a call due to a conflict of interest with that agency and the complainant. The BYU officer made phone contact with the complainant who requested information on how to end contact. Contact was made with the subject notifying him that the complainant does not want any contact.

Theft
A mother in married student housing reported her three your old daughter's pink scooter was missing from a commons area. The make and model is unknown. The plastic toddler scooter was only reported as having two front wheels and one back wheel.

Theft
Within a 12-hour period two loads of laundry were reported stolen from Wymount. There are no suspects. The complainant will try to get an itemized list of the clothing to police.

Criminal Mischief
An officer was dispatched to Budge Hall second level bathroom for a stall door that was missing. The door was not located at the time of this report. The Resident Assistant will advise the Housing Supervisor.

Fraud
An officer spoke with the complainant, the complainant stated he posted a pair of Vans shoes on KSL Classifieds for $85.00. He said an unnamed individual asked him to send a $300.00 visa gift card with the shoes and he (the purchaser) would send $425.00. The complainant stated he received an email that at first glance appeared to be from PayPal and appeared to communicate that $425.00 had been deposited in his account. The complainant stated he mailed the shoes and gift card to an address
in Idaho (he provided the address). The complainant said he planned to call the UPS Store in the morning and see if he could stop the package. The case has been referred to the Investigations Division for possible follow-up.

Bike Theft
The complainant stated a 2014 GT Force white and blue colored bicycle was stolen from a bike rack at Heritage Halls. Valued of the bike $800.00. The complainant stated the bike was locked to the rack.

Bike Theft
A student called in a bike theft. The time delay of the missing bike could be eight days prior to the report. The student did not have a serial number. This theft may be related to another case.

Suspicous
Officer responded to a theft call at the BYU Creamery. Upon arrival, the officer contacted the complainant by phone and had a brief discussion about a female who was in the store taking items out of a shopping cart and stuffing them in her shirt. The responding officer is conducting further follow up on this case.
