Sick Person BYU Officers and Provo Fire responded to HL May to assist a patient experiencing numbness in their hands and legs. Provo Fire medically cleared the patient, who later reported feeling better and declined transportation. The patient appeared stressed due to upcoming finals.
Seizures BYU dispatch notified an officer of a medical incident involving a dispatcher on the security side of the center. Upon arrival, the officer learned that the dispatcher had recently experienced a seizure. The dispatcher appeared to be doing well and explained that seizures occur frequently for her, typically running their course before she can resume normal activities. The Provo Fire Department was initially called but was canceled at her request.
Welfare Check Officers were dispatched to a welfare check involving a student who lives off campus. The student appeared distant and anxious, which prompted a professor to request a welfare check. Officers contacted the student's parent who advised that she was stressed out because of finals and that she was currently safe and sound at home with family.
Robbery Alarm An officer responded to a robbery alarm at the old Creamery building. Staff were removing the old cash registers which set off the alarm. The officer reset the box, though the power might be disconnected soon with the demolition of the building.
Trauma A player was injured during play at the Indoor Practice Field, prompting responses from BYU Police, BYU EMS, and Provo Fire. The player sustained a serious and evident injury and was subsequently transported to Utah Valley Hospital via ambulance. The player remains in stable condition.
Found Property A BYU Officer responded to the SFH regarding a found wallet. The officer contacted the owner, who explained they were out of state and would retrieve the wallet upon their return. The officer informed the owner that the wallet would be held at the WSC and could be picked up there once they arrived back on campus.
Lost Property The BYU Police Department received a report from a student indicating that his laptop might have been stolen from either the HBLL or the EB. However, upon contact, the student clarified that his laptop had not been stolen; his friend had found it at the Engineering Building.
