Medical
An officer responded to Heritage 11 for a medical call. The call involved an FSY counselor who was in her apartment, felt dizzy, and fell against the wall, hitting her head. She stated that she has a history of fainting. Provo Fire and EMS arrived, treating the patient. They did not find anything concerning. She remained in her apartment with her roommate.

Waterflow – Alarm
BYU Police were dispatched to the B66 building for a water flow alarm. Before the police arrived on scene, a BYU technician advised that there was no emergency and that the alarm was a false alarm.

Lost Property
An officer responded to Cougar Field regarding a complaint of a lost Nike backpack. The complainant was attending an FSY night activity with 600 youth on Cougar Field. He was taking pictures and had placed his backpack behind him. When he turned around to retrieve it, the backpack was missing. The backpack was lost on Wednesday, June 18th, sometime between 2010 and 2015 hours. The officer reviewed video footage but was unable to determine who took the backpack. The complainant reported the missing item to the FSY lost and found. Later that same day, the reporting party called back and informed him that he had located his backpack.

Theft
BYU Police were dispatched to Wyview Park regarding a delayed e-bike theft. The owner reported that his lock had been cut, and his e-bike was missing. An officer collected the relevant information and obtained photos of the bike. The owner did not know the serial number of the e-bike, so it will not be listed in NCIC at this time. This information will be forwarded to BYU Investigations for follow-up.

Medical
An officer responded to Heritage Halls to assist an FSY counselor experiencing an allergic reaction to his prescription medication. The patient was having difficulty breathing upon the officer's arrival. Provo Fire and EMS arrived and treated the patient, administering an EpiPen injection and starting an IV. The patient was then transported by ambulance to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center.

Found Property
The officer responded to the SFH regarding a found cellphone. The phone had been turned in by staff over the past two days. Attempts were made to identify the owner, but only the first name "Finley" was known. The phone will be turned over to the lost and found at the Wilkinson Center at the end of the shift.

Fire – Gas Smell
BYU Police and Provo Fire responded to a report that a tenant could smell the odor of natural gas in his apartment. The officer asked dispatch to notify BYU Risk Management and BYU Housing. Firefighters measured the air in the apartment for toxic gases. Their readings showed zero parts per million for any toxic substances. The firefighters informed the tenant that his apartment was safe to enter.

Medical
An officer was dispatched to the courtyard of the Joseph F. Smith Building, where a For the Strength of Youth (FSY) dance was being held. Upon arrival, he assisted Provo Fire in speaking with a young woman who had twisted her ankle. Provo Fire personnel wrapped her ankle, and both the patient and the FSY attendees declined transportation to a hospital or other facility.

Citizen Contact
A police officer responded to the area of Lot 41 in Helaman Halls regarding a report that individuals in a blue truck had been heckling female FSY participants. The caller was a third party and could not provide any additional information. No criminal activity was described in the report to dispatch. The officer searched the areas of Helaman Halls and Heritage Halls but found no blue trucks or males behaving suspiciously. No further action was taken.

CO – Alarm
An officer responded to a carbon monoxide (CO) alarm at WT 15E, where Provo Fire and BYU Housing were also present. The tenants outside reported being instructed to leave the apartment with doors and windows closed. Provo Fire tested the air and confirmed hazardous levels of CO, prompting a call to the gas company for further investigation. BYU Housing personnel arrived to assess the situation, and the officer provided all relevant information before clearing the scene. Dispatch confirmed that BYU Risk Management had been notified of the incident

Welfare Check
An officer responded to a complaint regarding a homeless individual resting near the southwest side of the USB building. Upon arrival, the officer found the man sitting in the shade, eating food. As the officer approached, the man stood up and began to leave. The officer made contact, asked if he needed assistance, and was assured he did not. The individual was carrying a boxed lunch and a water bottle.

Breathing Problem
Officers responded to the Tanner building parking lot regarding a female having trouble breathing. Provo medics evaluated her and released her to her husband, with no further action required.

Information
An officer responded to a report involving Big D. Construction at the new Fine Arts Building site, where a handgun was allegedly found in a portable toilet. The contractor, Mike, reported that the firearm was no longer present when an employee returned to investigate. He mentioned twelve subcontractors were on site when the handgun was seen and promised to provide their names by June 20th. The officer confirmed that firearms are prohibited on campus, and the contractor acknowledged that such possession violates company policy.

Medical
An officer was dispatched to the Missionary Training Center (MTC) to assist BYU EMS with an adult female suspected of heat exhaustion. Upon arrival, the patient, unaccustomed to Utah's heat, reported feeling unwell. She was transported by MTC staff to Utah Valley Hospital for further treatment.

Welfare Check
Parents of a BYU student called to report that they had had no contact with their adult daughter since she was taken to the hospital earlier that week by BYU police officers. They were concerned about er safety, as she suffers from multiple mental health issues and could possibly be actively suicidal. Officers checked the student's apartment, the hospital, the security camera system, and spoke with former roommates to locate her. Eventually, it was discovered that the student had left the hospital on the same day she was admitted. Since the hospital is located within Provo jurisdiction and that was her last known location, the case has been transferred to the Provo City Police.

Suspicious
An officer responded to a report involving two teenage girls attending For the Strength of Youth (FSY) at Heritage Halls. The counselor expressed concern after the girls left the building with an unidentified adult male who refused to provide his name. Attempts to contact the girls' parents were unsuccessful; the father declined further communication after a brief exchange. The officer advised the father to contact BYU Dispatch if the girls were not with him, ensuring their safety. The situation was documented, and the parents were notified of the incident.

Medical
Medical responded to a report of a severe allergic reaction involving a juvenile FSY participant, BYU Police and Provo Fire arrived to find the patient speaking normally, breathing without difficulty, and showing no signs of distress such as an elevated heart rate. The patient reported swollen tonsils but had been treated with Benadryl by FSY medical staff. After evaluation, firefighters determined there were no life-threatening symptoms, and the patient was not transported to the hospital. The juvenile's parents were notified by FSY staff.

Medical
Emergency responders, including BYU Police, BYU EMS, and the Provo Fire Department, were dispatched to the Harman Continuing Education Building for a 21-year-old woman experiencing breathing difficulties. Upon arrival, it was determined she was having a panic attack rather than a life-threatening condition.

Fraud
A BYU Store employee reported a suspicious transaction involving a counterfeit $100 bill. An officer responded and reviewed surveillance footage, which confirmed that the suspect successfully used the fake bill to purchase merchandise and then left the scene. The case has been referred to investigators.

Lost Property
A police officer responded to a report from a complainant regarding delayed lost property at the Heber Grant Building. The complainant had accidentally left their sunglasses in the bathroom while taking a test. The officer advised them to regularly check the lost and found, noting that the sunglasses would likely be turned in to the WSC Lost and Found if found.

Fire – Gas Smell
When a BYU Camps counselor reported a strong gas smell on the fourth floor of Heritage Halls, building 04, an officer and Provo Fire responded to investigate. Upon inspection, they identified the odor as residual from prank fart spray rather than a gas leak. The situation was quickly resolved, and all units cleared the scene without incident.

Welfare Check
A family member of a hiker on the Y-Trail reported they were taking longer than expected hiking the trail head so BYU officers assisted and located the individual who was fine.

Mental/ Psychological Evaluation
A police officer responded to a call regarding a possible suicidal individual. The subject threatened self-harm but ultimately requested help and voluntarily admitted themselves to Utah Valley Hospital. The officers also contacted the police administration so proper notifications could be made through the university.

Carbon Monoxide - Alarm
Provo Fire responded to a carbon monoxide (CO) alarm at WT, discovering the stove had been left on, which triggered the alert. The situation was resolved after Provo Fire cleared the CO levels. Housing and maintenance were notified of the situation.

Accident – Hit and Run
A delayed hit-and-run report was taken by an officer at the TNRB, concerning an incident believed to have occurred on April 7th. Due to the delay in reporting, no video footage is available from that date. The reporting party provided no additional information for follow-up.

Animal Problem
A police officer spoke with a complainant who reported a fawn lying near May Hall all day. The officer contacted the Department of Wildlife Resources (DWR), who advised waiting until the following evening to allow the mother deer a chance to return. The complainant was instructed not to touch the fawn and to call back tomorrow evening; if the fawn remains, DWR will come to retrieve it.

Juvenile Problem
At approximately 11:30 PM, officers responded to reports of juveniles in the Heritage Halls area, possibly involved in mischievous activity. They located 5-6 youths aged 17-18 in the parking lot in front of the museum. The juveniles appeared to be harmless and were not engaged in any illegal activity. They were reminded of the Provo city curfew and stated they had been playing volleyball at Heritage before heading home. The group was allowed to leave without further incident.

Theft
A resident of Wymount Terrace 5A reported via phone that her electric scooter was stolen from her back patio. The scooter, which was left plugged in and unlocked, was taken while she was out of town since Saturday evening. The complainant noticed the theft this morning; however, the serial number is not available and there is no suspect information.

Unconscious
The BYU Police Department, BYU EMS, and Provo Fire Department responded to a medical emergency in the central courtyard of Heritage Halls, involving a 15-year-old male who had fainted for an unknown reason. Upon arrival, the individual was conscious, breathing, and alert, with no apparent injuries. After a brief assessment and treatment on scene, he was released, and the incident was considered resolved.

Medical
A medical incident at the WSC was quickly managed when BYU Police and EMS responded. Officers found a person sitting up and eating after experiencing a headache and lightheadedness. She reported feeling much better after eating and hydrating. BYU EMS took over the situation, and the officer cleared the scene.

Found Property
A campus officer responded to the Botany Pond area after finding a set of car keys. The officer activated the panic button on the keys but was unable to locate a vehicle nearby. The keys were kept for several hours in case the owner called, then later dropped off at the WSC lost and found.

Accident – Hit and Run
A police officer responded to Lot 40 regarding a delayed hit-and-run incident. The complainant reported parking her vehicle to attend church and later discovering damage to the rear driver's side upon leaving. The suspect vehicle had fled the scene, and no matching vehicles or suspect information were identified during the investigation. The case remains open pending further leads.

Theft
A police officer was dispatched to Wymount Terrace in response to a complaint about a stolen electric scooter. The scooter, which was left unlocked on a balcony along with its charger and lock, was stolen sometime between June 13 and June 15, 2025. Currently, there are no suspects or leads in the case.

Lost Property
The bishop of a YSA ward submitted an online report seeking assistance in locating a lock box mounted with Velcro on the wall of the East Ballroom, where the ward meets weekly, containing camera equipment used for church meetings. Upon reviewing security footage, it was discovered that the building manager had removed the lock box on May 30, 2025. The bishop was advised to contact the building manager the following day to attempt retrieval of the box.

Fire Alarm
When a police officer responded to a fire alarm at the Brewster Building, they conducted a thorough search but found no signs of smoke or fire. The alarm panel indicated that a hand pull station had been activated, though dispatch had no record of one. Upon inspecting the station, the officer noted the red solid light signifying an alarm, but the switch inside remained in the normal position. Concluding a possible system error.

Information
A BYU Police officer responded to a report of a suspicious male who asked to use a woman's phone. Upon inspection of the area, the officer observed no further concerning behavior or individuals.

Theft
A tenant in Wymount Terrace reported his electric scooter stolen from his porch overnight. BYU Police responded, documented the incident, and listed the scooter in NCIC. Currently, no suspects have been identified. Officers are reviewing security footage to identify the offender, and the case has been referred to BYU detectives for further investigation.

CO – Alarm
BYU Police and Provo Fire responded to a CO alarm at Wyview Park, finding the apartment unoccupied. After opening the door, fire personnel conducted testing and confirmed elevated carbon monoxide levels throughout the unit. The team ventilated the apartment by opening windows and doors. The incident was reported to BYU Physical Facilities and Risk Management for further action.

Agency Assist
A male suspect was reported attempting to break into a vehicle on a Provo street. Described as an Indian male with unkempt hair, wearing a tan shirt and brown pants, and speaking with a thick Indian accent while holding several plastic bags. Despite a thorough search by BYU Police and Provo Police, the suspect was not located.

Accident – Hit and Run
A BYU employee reported that his vehicle had been damaged and suspected the incident occurred on BYU campus. The officer and the employee reviewed security footage from Lot 13, where the vehicle was parked; however, the area where the vehicle was located was not captured on camera. Dispatch continued to review additional footage but was unable to identify any relevant activity or evidence related to the reported damage.

Traffic Control
BYU Police responded to a call near Lot 45 on University Avenue to assist with traffic control following a paint can spill in the roadway. University employees were on scene working to clean up the spill to prevent damage to passing vehicles. Officers remained present to maintain traffic flow while the cleanup efforts continued.

Fire – Gas Smell
A security officer reported detecting a natural gas odor in the area. Provo Fire personnel responded to investigate but were unable to detect any smell or signs of natural gas upon inspection. Upon arrival, the officer also did not perceive any odor. The situation was monitored, and no further issues were identified.

Suspicious Circumstance
A police officer responded to a report of two suspicious teenage males in Lot 25, suspected of pretending to register for FSY after the event had concluded. Witnesses observed one male urinating in public and noted that the males arrived and departed in a black Tesla, which has not yet been positively identified. This incident is currently under ongoing investigation.

Medical
A BYU employee was assisted by BYU Police and Provo Fire after reportedly falling and hitting his head at the HCEB. Although he was alert and coherent upon arrival, witnesses indicated he had fallen and may have sustained an injury to his arm, possibly a torn tendon or ligament. After evaluation, Provo Fire transported him to the hospital for further treatment.

Citizen Contact
A police officer responded to Lot 45 following a report of a possible reckless driver, aided by a photo from the reporting party. Upon contact, the officer investigated and confirmed that the incident, which took place near Heritage Halls, did not involve reckless driving. The driver was issued a verbal warning.

Welfare Check
On June 13, 2025, at approximately 0014 hours, law enforcement responded to a welfare check at the HR Building 13 after a FSY member made concerning suicidal comments. During the interaction, it was determined that the case required intervention by another agency. DCFS was contacted but was unable to reach the juvenile's parents, resulting in the juvenile being transported to Vantage Point for further assistance.

Abandoned 911 – Call
Officer responded to Heritage Halls #7 following a report of an abandoned 911 call. Despite the dispatcher’s efforts to reach the caller via call and text, no response was received. The officer thoroughly checked the area but found no signs of any suspicious activity or issues.

Medical
A female approached an officer near the JKB, reporting feeling dizzy and experiencing vision loss. BYUEMS responded, evaluated her condition, and determined she did not need hospital transportation. The emergency team stayed with her until she felt well enough to walk and get some food.

Sick Person
The officer responded to the WSC for a medical assist. When they arrived, EMS indicated that the patient was okay and there was no need for law enforcement.

Welfare Check
Officer responded to a welfare check on a safe walk at the LSB but lost contact en route. Once connection was reestablished, the subject was successfully contacted.

Suspicious
A police officer was dispatched to West Campus (WC) regarding a suspicious person who claimed they intended to sleep in the building. Upon arrival, camera footage confirmed the individual had already left prior to law enforcement's arrival. The officers then cleared the building, finding only students working inside.
